WoW related entry no. 3773

I love being level 60.

I love LOVE PvP. I'm a bloodthirsty bitch.

I love Teamspeak. I love PvP and Teamspeak.

I even love raiding. I love Scholomance. Coolest "haunted house" EVER.

I love socking money away for our epic mounts. I love having something to work towards.

I love this game.

I quit.

I'm ashamed to admit it, but I cancelled my account.

I was part of a huge guild on Proudmoor, made up largely of friends from other games like AC, AC2, DAoC, and City of Heroes. But I'm not a powergamer anymore and everyone outlevelled me. So I didn't have anyone to play with anymore, and the whole point of online gaming to me was to hang out together. Sure, I could listen in on teamspeak and hear them all enjoying their raid or instance. But I was on the outside looking in...

I don't need to pay a monthly fee to play a game by myself. If I wanted to do that, I'd load up on XBoX or PS2 stuff.

So now I'm back to my original online game - Subspace, still going strong since 1995. At least for now...

Awww :( It's such a great game, but I wholly understand that.

It took me a *long* time to get to 60, so even as the guild mistress, I got some of that "outside looking in" feeling. It helps to have actual, close friends, around your level, not just random guildmates. Also, it really makes a difference if you have one or two solid, static folks to partner with constantly.

If you ever feel like coming back and trying out a RP server (another good thing, most RP types aren't powergamers, they sit around role playing a lot, so there's less emphasis on high level) you're welcome to join us. Our group is cool, because not only do we have players spanning the levels, but we're all reroll junkies, so we ALL have chars, spanning the levels, heh.
